This is how it works with nail polishes:

1. Apply base coat, let dry. Top with your desired nail polish and let dry.

2. Choose a gel-like top coat for your powder, as it provides the best possible adhesion surface for the powder due to its rubbery surface. If you choose a quick-drying top coat as a base, please note that quick-drying cannot be used on top of a powder surface, as it will make the effect grainy.

3. Rub the powder onto your nail with a clean finger to make sure you are not rubbing the surface of the polish too hard. Before rubbing the powder in, make sure that your chosen base coat is completely dry.

4. You can try different non-quick-drying top coats over the powder, but NCLA Gelous? and Moyran Aqua Top do not make the surface grainy.

NOTE. The downside of Aqua Top is its lack of durability. As a top coat, it wears off too easily. You can't add a normal top coat on top of Aqua Top either, as it makes the surface cloudy. NCLA Gelous? is perfect as a base for effect powders, as well as a top coat. Gelous? is thick/gel-like, rubbery and quick-drying in texture, but it doesn't make the powder grainy. Effect powders behave with Gealous? just like with Non-wipe gel top coats, so we definitely recommend it as an option. However, remember when applying powder that if the varnishing style is too rough, the brush may scratch the mirror surface of the powder, resulting in an uneven finish!

This is how it works with gel polishes:

1. Apply the gel polish Base Coat to the nail and cure. First, paint the nail with the gel polish shade of your choice and cure it under the lamp.
2. Apply a layer of Non-Wipe top coat to the nail and cure (60sec LED / 2min UV)
3. Choose the effect powder you want and "Rub It On" it onto the nail either with a clean finger or a separate silicone brush. Wipe off any excess powder with a fan-shaped brush or duster.
4. Apply a new layer of Non-Wipe top coat and cure (60 sec LED / 2 min UV).
5. Enjoy the amazing special effect on your nails!
