Product description

RockNailStar vinyls are high-quality vinyls with innovative designs for creative nail decoration. The vinyls can be used either as a stencil (removed from the nail) or as a sticker (remains on the nail).

Vinyl sheet size: 9.5 x 15 cm (3.75 x 5.9 in)

Material: Vinyl

Disposable

Instructions

  1. Paint your nails and let the polish dry thoroughly. We recommend using a quick-drying top coat over your nail polish (or bare nail) to create a smooth, even surface for best adhesion. Make sure the nail surface is dry and oil-free before applying the vinyl.
  2. Remove the desired vinyl (stencil/sticker) from the sheet using tweezers. For vinyls with small parts, try removing the stencil from a few different directions and pull the stencil off in a smooth motion, keeping the vinyl as close to the sheet as possible. If small parts remain on the stencil, attach the stencil to the wrong side of the vinyl sheet. The small loose parts will remain on the back of the vinyl sheet when you remove the stencil again.
  3. Place the vinyl (stencil/sticker) on the nail and press it lightly with your fingertip or the rubber tip of a cuticle pusher, paying special attention to the cuticles and the tips of long nails. The sticker can be cut to a suitable size before or after placing it on the nail. Vinyls used as stencils can also be cut to improve the fit. The most important thing is to make sure that no nail polish can run under the stencil. If your own nail is so curved that the stencil does not fit well, you can use the stencil as a decal. In this case, the stencil is placed on the Messy Mansion decal mat and the desired polish is applied over the stencil. The stencil is removed and after the polish pattern has dried, a clear polish is applied over it. After drying, the clear polish can be removed from the mat as a decal sheet, which can be placed on the nail over the desired nail polish.
  4. Use the most fluid polish possible on the stencil. Shimmer and metallic polishes work better/easier than creme polishes. For the best results, dab the polish onto the stencil with a makeup sponge, as polish applied with a brush will flow more easily under the vinyl and will not leave a sharp mark. You can also dab glitter polishes or gradient colors onto the stencil with a makeup sponge.
  5. Remove the vinyl with tweezers while the nail polish is still wet . For a precise result, it is recommended to remove the stencil following the pattern (e.g. spiral pattern). Clean excess nail polish from the skin and cuticles with a brush dipped in acetone. You can also use liquid latex (Glisten&Glow Ctrl-Alt-Del) to protect the cuticles, especially when applying the polish with a sponge.
  6. Let the polish dry thoroughly before applying top coat to keep the designs sharp. Apply top coat gently without touching the surface of the nail. Experiment to find the best top coat that doesn't spread the designs. If you want to leave the vinyl on your nail as a sticker, apply 1-2 thick coats of top coat to seal the edges of the sticker to the nail.
